The Regency Room
For this project, I created a fully digital room to serve as a virtual photoshoot set for a series of wedding dresses. The environment was designed entirely from imagination, drawing inspiration from the elegant Regency interiors often described in the Brontë sisters’ novels.
The 3D space was carefully modeled in 3ds Max and rendered with Mental Ray, balancing period detail with a soft, atmospheric quality that would complement the bridal gowns.
The dresses themselves were photographed separately against a green screen backdrop. I then composited the models seamlessly into my rendered interiors, bringing the traditional style and modern photography together. This marked my first foray into compositing, blending real-world photography with computer-generated environments to create striking, cohesive imagery.
The result was a set of images that transported the viewer into a refined Regency-inspired setting — without ever stepping into a physical location.
