I designed and developed a bespoke WordPress website for Reina Bonici-Mompalao-Lee, an author of children’s books. The goal was to create an engaging and imaginative online presence that reflected the charm and warmth of her stories.
The visual design was inspired by the whimsical illustrations of Sarah Leigh Williams, whose artwork informed the site’s color palette, textures, and playful layout elements. I translated these illustrative qualities into a clean, responsive design that feels handcrafted yet professional, ensuring the author’s personality and books took center stage.
On the technical side, I built a fully custom WordPress theme from scratch using HTML, LESS, and PHP, enabling flexible content management for future books, events, and blog posts. The theme was optimized for performance and accessibility, with attention to typography and mobile responsiveness.
The result is a vibrant, author-focused website that balances storytelling and usability—offering young readers and parents an inviting gateway into the author’s literary world.
