The Brief
A commission to bring a child’s imagination to life: a 3D-printed model based on a painting by a five-year-old named Blaze.
What I did
I recreated the robot in 3D in Autodesk 3ds Max, interpreting and expanding on the original artwork. Because the back of the character was never painted, I had the creative freedom to design those unseen details while staying true to the playful spirit of Blaze’s drawing. The physical model was 3D printed by Meka Innovation. Alongside it, I produced a game-ready, UV-mapped version textured in Substance Painter for real-time use.
The Result
A tangible, 3D-printed character faithful to a child’s vision, plus a game-ready digital asset, taking the project from a one-off physical piece to something reusable in interactive environments.
